ที่บริเวณลานเอนกประสงค์ชั้น 1 ศูนย์การค้าเซ็นทรัลพลาซา เวสต์เกต อ.บางใหญ่ จ.นนทบุรี ซึ่งเป็นสถานที่จัดงานมหกรรมทุเรียนนนท์ (NONTHABURI THE KING OF DURIAN )
นายภานุ แย้มศรี ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดนนทบุรี เป็นประธานการประมูลทุเรียนนนท์ เพื่อนำรายได้ทั้งหมดมอบให้กับสถานสงเคราะห์ต่างๆในจังหวัดนนทบุรี รพ.พระนั่งเกล้า และเหล่ากาชาดจังหวัดนนทบุรี
โดยทุเรียนที่นำมาให้ประมูลครั้งนี้รวมทั้งหมด 9 ลูก เป็นทุเรียนพันธุ์ก้านยาว 2 ลูก พันธุ์หมอนทอง 6 ลูก และพันธุ์สาวน้อย 1 ลูก จากสวนป้าต้อย-ลุงหมู ของนางมะลิวัลย์ หาญใจไทย ต.บางรักน้อย จำนวน 4 ลูก สวนอภิรัญญา ของนางเบญจมาศ แตงไทย ต.บางรักน้อย 2 ลูก สวนนิพพา ของนางนิพา แตงอ่อน ต.เสาธงหิน 1 ลูก และสวนณัฐทิดา ของนายวินัย เสนีย์วงศ์ ณ อยุธยา อ.บางใหญ่ 2 ลูก ซึ่งทุเรียนทั้งหมดนี้ทางผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดนนทบุรี ได้เดินทางไปปีนตัดด้วยตัวเองเมื่อวันที่ 7 มิถุนายนที่ผ่านมาเพื่อเป็นการการันตีว่าเป็นทุเรียนนนท์แท้ๆ
สำหรับการประมูลลูกแรกเป็นทุเรียนหมอนทอง ผู้ที่ประมูลได้คือดร.ชัยรัตน์ จำนงการ ในราคา 250,000 บาท ลูกที่สองเป็นทุเรียนหมอนทอง ผู้ที่ประมูลได้คือธนทัต ชวาลดิษฐ์ ในราคา 160,000 บาท ลูกที่สาม เป็นทุเรียนหมอนทอง ผู้ที่ประมูลได้คือนายลักษณ์วรรณ วงศ์การ ในราคา 180,000 บาท ลูกที่สี่เป็นทุเรียนหมอนทอง ผู้ที่ประมูลได้คือดร.ชัยรัตน์ จำนงการ ในราคา 180,000 บาท ลูกที่ห้าเป็นทุเรียนหมอนทอง ผู้ที่ประมูลได้คือนายพรอนันต์ สุขประเสริฐชัย ในราคา 180,000 บาท
ส่วนลูกที่หกเป็นทุเรียนหมอนทอง ผู้ที่ประมูลได้คือนางวราภรณ์ วจีไกรลาศ ประมูลในราคา 270,000 บาท ลูกที่เจ็ดเป็นทุเรียนสาวน้อย ผู้ที่ประมูลได้คือนายเรืองศักดิ์ แสงเพ็ญพราว ในราคา 210,000 บาท ลูกที่แปดเป็นทุเรียนก้านยาว ผู้ที่ประมูลได้คือ พ.ต.อ.ดร.ธงชัย เย็นประเสริฐ ในราคา 200,000 บาท และลูกที่เก้าเป็นทุเรียนก้านยาวที่มีการประมูลกันอย่างดุเดือนจนมาจบที่ราคา 800,000 บาท ผู้ที่ประมูลได้คือดร.ชัยรัตน์จำนงการ เป็นการทำลายสถิติทุเรียนที่แพงที่สุดในโลกของเมื่อปีที่แล้วโดยมีผู้ที่ประมูลไปได้ในราคา 310,000 บาท นอกจากนี้ยังมีผู้ที่ประมูลทุเรียนไปแล้วได้นำกลับมาประมูลเพิ่มอีก 3 ลูกเพื่อหารายได้ช่วยการกุศล โดยมีผู้สนใจประมูลไปรวมทั้งหมดเป็นเงิน 460,000 บาท สรุปยอดเงินที่ได้จากประมูลทุเรียนบุญครั้งนี้รวมทั้งสิ้น 2,809,000 บาท
สำหรับทุเรียนนนท์นั้นนับวันจำหาทานยากขึ้น ตามรายงานของเกษตรจังหวัดนนทบุรีสรุปว่าทุเรียนในจังหวัดนนทบุรี ปีนี้มีผลผลิตเพียงแค่ 900 ลูก จากสวนต่างๆที่ยังคงเหลือจากถูกน้ำท่วมเมื่อปี 54 ขณะนี้ทางชาวสวนได้มีการปลูกขึ้นมาทดแทนแต่ยังไม่สามารถให้ผลผลิตได้ต้องใช้เวลาไม่ต่ำกว่า 7-10 ปี ทำให้ทุเรียนนนท์ไม่มีวางขายตามท้องตลาด ในแต่ละปีจะมีผู้อยากลิ้มลองรสชาดความอร่อยของทุเรียนนนท์ต้องใช้วิธีไปจองกับเจ้าของสวนถึงจะได้ลิ้มลอง
