อิบสัน เมโล เริ่มเส้นทางฟุตบอลอาชีพครั้งเเรกเมื่อปี 2010 กับ คราโต้ สโมสรในประเทศบราซิล ต่อมาเดินทางในเส้นทางค้าเเข้งกับอีกหลายทีมในประเทศของตัวเองอย่าง โบอา, อิตาปิเรนเซ่ เเละ โปติกัวร์ ก่อนข้ามน้ำข้ามทะเลไป “เสี่ยงโชค” บนแผ่นดินยุโรปกับทีมในลีกประเทศกรีซ มาถึง 3 สโมสร ในช่วงระหว่างปี 2014 – 2017 พร้อมถล่มประตูได้อย่างมากมาย หลังจากนั้นในฤดูกาล 2018 ย้ายไปร่วมทีม มาริติโม่ ทีมดังในศึก พรีเมียร์ ลีกา ลีกสูงสุดของประเทศโปรตุเกส
ในฤดูกาล 2019 อิบสัน ข้ามฟากมาโชว์เพลงเเข้งบนแผ่นดินสยาม ในไทลีก 1 กับ สมุทรปราการ ซิตี้ ลงสนาม 29 นัด ทำได้ 15 ประตู และฤดูกาลล่าสุดกับ สุโขทัย เอฟซี ด้วยผลงาน 10 ประตู กับ 7 แอสซิสต์ จากการลงเล่น 27 นัด ก่อนย้ายมาเป็นนักเตะคนใหม่ของทัพ “จงอางผยอง” ขอนแก่น ยูไนเต็ด
